This was by far the best book I've read so far regarding newbie nursing as well as nursing school lacks. Great book! I wish I would have read this while in nursing school. I found this book when I hit my 2nd year as a nurse. It was funny, I shed some tears for sure, but overall it was SO NICE to be able to read something written in a way that lets you know that someone else understands the struggle of nursing, the feelings that we feel as healthcare employees, and someone the assures you it is all worth it and it will be okay!
It was a good book but I bought after I graduated and already started working. I think it would have been an even better read had I read it before I had already started but it was very easy to read.
Bought this book for my girlfriend who is an ICU Nurse and told me she worked with the author a few years back. She was thrilled and devoured the book in about two days. I'll be reading it next but she said that Sonja totally nailed it in describing nurse life. Congrats!
